I have been lucky enough in my photography to continue working with some of the same clients while I watch their families grow. It’s such a great thing to be a part of because the only thing I get to see grow is my dogs and they’re pretty much done with that. My friend Kara has three of the sweetest kids and I always love taking their pictures. We made a little trip down to the Arkansas River here in Tulsa and let the kids spend some time down by the water. It was great to see how intrigued they were by everything.
About a month and a half ago my mom, two sisters and I all went on a family vacation to Hawaii. It was so amazing! One of the most extraordinary experiences I’ve ever had. We had been talking about how our family needs a break and needs to get away with all that has happened to us in the past two years. My mom asked where we wanted to go and my step-dad had always wanted to take all of us to Hawaii so that’s what we settled on. I cannot express how beautiful the whole thing was. Next time I would love to go to some of the other islands and spend some time in the less touristy areas but at the very least I can say that I’ve been to one of the most breathtaking places on earth.
I have to say that this wedding was one of the most fun I have ever had the privilege of shooting. These families are so funny and full of love and life! James and Lacey got married back in March with their parents present and then had this formal ceremony so nerves were low and everyone was relaxed.
I know it’s common for friends and family to want copies of pictures from these wonderful moments in life and for those individuals there will be a posting soon on how to order these shots so please stay tuned!
Talk about such a fun-loving couple. John and Katy have been friends of mine for years and to see these two commit to bettering each others lives was such an amazing and encouraging thing to witness. You can just see their love exuding through these photos.
I met Amy through some good friends and she has recently moved to the Tulsa area. Her fiance came up from Texas to sign a new lease and we had our engagement session. It was obvious immediately how in love this couple is. They are the sweetest people and I wish them the best of luck in their marriage.
Naturally I’m going to be a little more partial to this session because of my lovely sister-in-law, her husband and my amazing niece and nephews. I always have such an amazing time when I get to see them. They are so full of life and adventure and being able to witness those thing in children are priceless. This shoot was filled with lots of laughter, love, sweat and even a few tears but I expect nothing less from the first 99% humidity day of the summer in Oklahoma.
Yesterday I had the privilege to shoot with a couple that I’ve worked with once previously. It’s always nice when this happens because it really is like spending a few hours with your friends. We really lucked out and had some beautiful weather for our Saturday evening on top of Turkey Mountain here in Tulsa. I have used this location once before and it turned out great and I think these are just more validation that I’ll be using this location again.
